Elo Ratings Table
Track each team's performance throughout the season, using their Elo score. Scores are updated after each game.
How to read this:
A higher score means a stronger club going into the season. The bar
shows how far each one sits from an average 1500, and the lines start
moving once the first game is played.
The lines begin with the first game, 6 November.

How the rating works
Every team's line starts on its own opening rating - last season's closing figure, pulled a third of the way back toward the 1500 league average - and moves after each result, based on the gap between what was expected and what actually happened. That expectation comes from both teams' ratings, plus a small home-ice edge. A win moves a line up, and a loss moves it down, but not by a fixed amount. Beating a higher-rated team pushes the line up more than beating a weaker one. Losing to a weaker team drops it further than losing to a stronger one. Comfortable regulation wins carry more weight than narrow ones. Overtime or shootout results only move the line a little, since both teams were tied after regulation.
